Ellen Verburgt has been leading Het Bergens Koor since 2009 and she does it with verve! With a lot of knowledge and skills she knows how to inspire and enthuse the choir members. Each season, in consultation with the board, she puts together a special and varied musical program that invariably culminates in a festive concert in a full Ruïnekerk.

Ellen was trained in Alkmaar and Amsterdam as a pianist, clarinetist and choir conductor. In addition to the music itself, sharing her musical passion is central. She sees the choir rehearsal as musical encounters, where you make music with each other and make contact!
